Check number of RAM slots in your laptop

1.Use wmic command

Use this wmic command(without quotes) to list all the details like: RAM Capaity, RAM Bank Label, RAM Location, RAM Speed and RAM manufacturer too.

"wmic memorychip get BankLabel, Capacity, DeviceLocator, Manufacturer, Speed, Tag"

or use following command to list full RAM details.
"wmic memorychip list full"

2.Use "Crucial System Scanner"

This method is very efficient as it can list complete details like how many RAM slots your laptop has and how much memory you can upgrade to and lot many things.

Simply visit http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/systemscanner to download the scanner and let it run the scan
The scanner takes 5 to 10 sec time depends on your system and it gives detailed info of your laptop or desktop
You can view my full scan scan details here: http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/scanview/B96481AE31D926C3

3.Dissemble your laptop and see for yourself(best way)

This is the best way to explore inside of your laptop but risky too. If you make mess while dissembling or  re-assembling you'll have to pay price. Do not risk this step if you are not aware of any laptop dissembling details.
